She is intelligent, Confident, Focus, Hurt, Passionate and Nice. But she is also unsure of who she is, although she is strong. Both of her parents are from Barbados so she comes from an West Indian family. Raya loves to dance it is her passion as well as stepping. She will be willing to do what ever it take to get what she wants. Her drive is amazing for what she wants and you can see the pain on her face.

Garvey, kind of is bad guy. Garvey is a west indian, slim, hansom and cocky person. Have you ever met a cocky person with glasses? Well, you are now introduced to one. He wears glasses, coarse hair, football player body, dark skin, and average man height. He has his own Step Crew, "Kin Dreads" which are titled champions of the step competitions. They are rivals agains Bishops crew "JSJ".

Bishop, is hansome, cool, and serious when it comes to his step crew. But he is more reserved, he is a lot to handle and very controlive. He is light skin, full lips, football player body, dark brown eyes, and nice shape head. Bishop is also west indian. He loves to step, he loves his crew. Bishop is the one who made "JSJ" (along with E.C), he is the leader and he has a leader's personality. Bishop can be stubborn sometimes but he does what he do for his team.
* Kevin Duhaney
E.C, is Bishops bestfriend and they started JSJ together. E.C is very materialistic because he comes from a place where he does not get a lot, so if he gets money he has to spend it and look nice. He loves money and girls and will do what ever it takes to get money even if it means through crime. E.C is disloyal but tries to be as loyal as he can.

Quake, is Bishops brother who he treats like nothing for no reason. Quake is quiet and intelligent. He is an amazing dance but does not get to show it that often in the movie.
* Shawn Desman
Trey, is the white guy in JSJ, he does not say much but is can dance his behind off.
* Tristan D. Lalla
Manny, is like Bishops legs in the crew (JSJ), if E.C is not there and Bishop needs help or some type of support or guidance he is there.

Michelle, is the type of person who sees the world as her own. She is smart but you will not know because she does what she wants and how she wants, which happens to be negative such as drugs, drinking and a bad attitude. She is cool if you and her are friends but if your not, your nobody and if you get on her bad side she will definitely give you attitude.
OpinionThis movie "How She Move" is a great movie. Actually, this movie happened to be one of my favorite movies. It's very inspirational, speaking as in life dreams, fight for what you want and doing what you want to. Everytime I see this movie I learn and notice something new. I love the music, message and choregraphy. How many times can you watch a movie with such interest? This movie is not only about step/dance it is about the drive and pain you have to get to your dreams. Beyond amazing, is the adjective to describe this movie.
Why did you choose this movieI chose this movie because I want to persue anybody to see this movie. You can learn so many things from this movie. I want people to love this movie the way I do. This movie shows how you can move on with your life, even with a loss family (especially your brother or sister), messed up social life, etc. Amazingly enough, the main character of this movie was able to bypass the loss of her sister by step-dancing. The drive, mentality and pain of every character in this movie is breath taking and drop dead interesting, from the pain in their face when they dance to the problems back at home. That is the main reason why I chose this movie, I want my peers to go home and watch this movie and see what I am talking about.
RatingI will rate this book 5 stars because it is very interesting, cultural, inspirational and real. The cast was well into character, I felt as if I could have been in the movie, I felt their pain and happiness. If this movie was to be a book, I can definitely get into character. The movie was just well done and more than satisfying. Despite the fact I do not like to watch movies but I will watch this movie everyday. How She Move is not only a movie, it is real from drugs, relationships and death. I would not change anything about this movie if I can, I doubt anyone that seen it will not neither.
What did you like or Dislike about the movieI loved absolutely everything about this movie but what I favor in this movie the most is how these people cope with their problems in a positive manner. Rayas sister died and she was froced to leave Borden School but she kept strong and joined a Step Crew to get the money she needs without tripping about her sisters death. There is not anything I dislike in this movie or there is not anything I would change about this movie because if that was the case I wouldn't of liked it as much as I did. I mean from the music to the choregraphy was on point and mind blowing.

Who do you recommand this movie toI would recommand this movie to people who likes Dance/Step, Drama, Insprirational or Relative to their life movies. That is exactly what this movie is about. I know I like Dance, Inpirational and Relative to my life movies because I can actually feel the characters pain and get into character. Some adults would not really favor "How She Move" unless they like entertainment. It is amazing how well these people fight for what the want, people need some inspiration like me. I have never in my life seen someone fight for something with such pain and athirst, this is the type of movie anybody can watch. But more or less, more teenagers will watch this movie and I will strongly recommend it to them because we as teens need some positive inspiration and drive.
Plot and Settings (Synopsis)Have you ever seen someone fight for something so bad that they claim to not matter? Have you ever seen someone fight for theirs and never gave up? In the movie "How She Move" Raya Green searches for herself and fights for what she wants with obstacles of family disputes, loss of loved one and upside down friendships. After the death of Raya Greens sister, she was forced to leave borden school because she could not pay her tuition. Her sisters addiction to drugs and death took all of her parents money. After a day back to her old of school she sees this step crews practice and ends up battling this girl Michelle, whom became her enemy and later friend. Their dance battle followed into a physical fight which got Michelle a tutor and made Raya a mentor, either that or suspension and that is the last thing Raya needed. Meanwhile, Rayas strict mother keeps pushing her to pass her Medical School Test. Apparently, Raya had no tuiton money, luckily her and Michelle became good enough friends that she told her about the Step Monster Comp. The Step Monster Comp is a step competition where people from all over down south compete for $50,000. Raya asked Bishop if she could join his Step Crew "JSJ (Jane Street Junta)", his crew doubted her skils at first but she murdered their steps and earned her spot on the team. After a loss, of a city Competition Raya was kicked off the team because she did a solo, but she was trying to help her team win, when Michelle's crew copied their moves. Raya was the only girl of "JSJ" whereas there is no female now, except on Garveys team now. Garvey offered Raya a spot his team and she accepted to be the girl member of "Kin Dreads". Long story short, JSJ and Kin Dreads were the finalist of the competition, amazingly that they both made it to the second day. Raya dropped Garveys Crew and with an apology and money she reunited with her original crew "JSJ". Before they went on for her last shot at showtime and money, she got an suprise appearance from her mother, to tell her she passed her test with 92%. Her mother was happy about that and upset that her daughter was at the competition, then tried to take Raya out of the competition and Raya refused. At that moment, Raya found our who she really was, she was a Dancer/Stepper and her own woman, no longer under her mother. With a exciting, excellent, and fighting for worth performance from JSJ won them the $50,000.
